Lyu Zexiang Meets with Salim Al Aufi, Minister of Oman’s Ministry of Energy and Minerals

On February 9 local time, Lyu Zexiang, chairman of Energy China International, met with Salim Al Aufi, Minister of Oman’s Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MEM).

During the meeting, Salim Al Aufi expressed the MEM’s welcome for Energy China to strengthen communication and coordination with relevant Omani authorities and enterprises and actively contribute to the investment and construction of renewable energy, pumped storage, and other related sectors in Oman. The Minister also highlighted the importance of increasing the exchange and sharing of cutting-edge technologies to accelerate the implementation of several cooperative demonstration projects. Chairman Lyu Zexiang emphasized Energy China’s commitment to leveraging its strong technical expertise and extensive experience in renewable energy, energy storage, gas turbines, desalination, and integrated green hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol production. He also noted that Energy China would like to build a communication mechanism with the MEM and other stakeholders, actively explore opportunities for engineering contracting and investment cooperation in the Omani market, and jointly develop high-quality projects.
