Lyu Zexiang Meets with Nasser Al-Qahtani, Saudi Arabia’s Assistant Minister of Energy

On April 9, Lyu Zexiang met with Nasser Al Qahtani, Saudi Arabia's Assistant Minister of Energy, in Riyadh. Among other attendees were Raed Al Sinbo, Saudi Arabia's Assistant Minister for Electricity Affairs, and Faisal Alduaij, Saudi Arabia's Assistant Minister for New Energy.

Nasser Al Qahtani expressed his gratitude to CEEC for its active contributions to advancing the “Saudi Vision 2030”. He highlighted that frequent high-level exchanges between the two sides in recent years have yielded significant achievements in cooperation across fields such as new energy, gas turbines, and localized manufacturing of high-voltage flexible direct current (HVDC) electrical equipment. Al-Qahtani emphasized the expectation to further promote collaboration by establishing a joint task force mechanism, with the focus placed on localized manufacturing, R&D innovation, new energy storage, and grid planning. He also stressed the importance of accelerating the implementation of more cooperative projects to jointly position Saudi Arabia as a world-class green energy hub.

Mr. Lyu stated that, while CEEC continues to expand its business across various sectors in Saudi Arabia, it is also collaborating with local universities to advance research on cutting-edge green energy technologies, thereby demonstrating deep integration into the local community. CEEC is committed to leveraging its technical expertise to partner with the Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy in exploring key areas such as power system planning, diversified energy storage applications, and efficiency improvements in flexible direct current systems, thereby contributing to the realization of the “Saudi Vision 2030”.
